Working together to protect Oklahoma's land.

Oklahoma's oil and natural gas industry is actively working with the state's leading scientists and regulators to help gain insight about seismicity. The Oklahoma oil and natural gas industry has been actively working with regulators, voluntarily spending more than $35 million, to reduce the risk of seismic activity.

Earthquake Monitoring and Mitigation
More than 4,000 wastewater injection wells have been developed and completed in Oklahoma. The industry adheres to stringent standards, and is working with the OCC, OGS and others to continue to examine any potential links between production methods and seismic events.

Pad Site Efficiency: More Resources, Less Land.

Horizontal drilling technology allows production of resources once thought to be inaccessible and reduces the number of wells required to develop a given area. One typical deep horizontal well can replace up to 20 vertical wells.
