CORE Energy for High School Students

CORE Energy is four programs in one. Students in grades nine through 12 use activity-based modules to learn about the energy industry in science, math, social studies and language arts. By utilizing activities that require critical thinking, students will be preparing for success on standardized tests like the ACT. CORE Energy meets state PASS objectives and is endorsed by the Oklahoma State Department of Education. Educators receive a free teacher's guide and activity kit.

To acquire the CORE Energy curriculum, teachers must attend a day-long workshop in their subject area. The workshops are free, and the OERB reimburses school districts for substitute pay. If a workshop is held on a Saturday or non-school day, the OERB pays a $50 stipend.

Find information on workshops in your area.
